Elsie

Elsie, donated by Country Goldens of Tn, was sponsored by Engineered Lining Systems of Jacksonville Fl. Elsie is being raised by 2nd time raiser Christina Baucom of Callahan Fl. Engineered Lining Systems [ELS] CEO Don Arch found us and asked what he could do to help us. ELS has been very supportive of Patriot’s in other ways besides sponsoring Elsie. If we need copies made, they are there, if we need help with a fund raiser, they are there! Thank you ELS!

Christina raised Gunner who has been placed with Chet, an active Navy Officer with PTSD stationed in Jacksonville Fl.

King Landrum

King Landrum

**UPDATE** King is almost ready to be placed as a working service dog.

King Landrum, donated by Country Goldens of Tn, was being raised by Jacksonville police officer Jackson Short, but is now being raised by the Kuhl family. Jackson’s job description & responsibilities changed so he could no longer take the puppy to work. King was sponsored by Landrum Middle School in Ponte Vedra Beach Fl. The students had many fund raisers one of which was a “Name that Dog” contest. Two of the names chosen were the Principle’s name, Mr King, and also the school’s name Landrum so we combined the two name choices.

The Kuhl’s are now raising 2 puppies for Patriot’s, King & Bonnie.

2011 Transportation Day @ Downtown Disney

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Transportation Day at Downtown Disney was perfect. Our day started at Downtown Disney where we took a bus to Wilderness Lodge. We spent time in the lodge speaking to visitors and taking some pictures for our Christmas cards.

Next we practiced the correct way to go up and down steps with a service dog. We train the dogs to take one step at a time, very slowly.

After taking the boat to Magic Kingdom, we took the monorail to the Grande Floridian. Then we got back on a bus to return to Downtown Disney where we held a training class on the green.
