“WOOF” Women Offering Obedience & Friendship

Our new “Woof” Program is up and running and is a wonderful success! Patriot Service Dogs has partnered with Lowell Women’s Prison & Marion County Humane Society to help make shelter dogs more adoptable. “WOOF” is an 8 week program where the inmates are given the opportunity to give back by helping shelter dogs learn basic obedience & house manners, making them easier to adopt into forever homes.

The first ‘Meet and Greet’ for the “WOOF” dogs was this past weekend (06/19/11). Three of the six dogs in the “WOOF” program have found forever homes! These lucky dogs will go to their new homes after completing the 8 week program.

If you are interested in adopting one of these wonderful “WOOF” dogs, donate something from our wish list below, OR if you’d like to volunteer, please contact Julie@PatriotServiceDogs.org or dianne@PatriotServiceDogs.org Thank you!!!

WOOF dogs still looking for forever homes are on the top row:

The middle row are pictures of the dogs who have been adopted by wonderful loving families. Bottom row shows 2 of the inmates while training the dogs.

Please help us find just the right homes for these wonderful dogs! Contact Julie@PatriotServiceDogs or the Marion County Humane Society to inquire about adopting one of these dogs.
